UK Mortgages

If you need to arrange an Italian mortgage to buy a property in Italy, then all you need to do is fill in the Italian Mortgage enquiry form, and it will go to International Private Finance (IPF) where the multilingual British brokers  will start the search for the most appropriate Italian mortgage for your circumstances.

It is advisable to arrange a mortgage in principle before committing to a purchase. This will enable you to find out how much you can borrow, so you don’t waste time looking at properties beyond your budget.

Even if you haven’t found a property that you wish to buy, IPF can establish your affordability and agree an approval in principle based on your current financial situation.
If you have already found a property to purchase, they will send you a full application pack via email or in the post. If the property is still under construction, they can keep your file open until you tell them it is ready.

BANKS: HOLD IN SEPTEMBER, MORTGAGE RATES DOWN

Rome, Oct. 22 - Despite the crisis, the Italian banks hold up in September. Good news for families as well, with average mortgage rates falling to 5.85% after the record 5.96% registered in August. The overall rate of loans to families and businesses however reaches a 5 year high at 6.47%, compared to 6.43% of the previous month and 6% of September 2007. Money is flowing again, apparently Italians are again interested in current accounts. The figures, collected in ABI's monthly bulletin, indicate an overall increase in granted loans equal to a 6.6% trend which, though down on 10.4% recorded in September 2007, is in line with the 6.5% recorded last August.
The dynamic seems to find greater support on the longer term component, which marked a 7.4% increase, compared to 5.3% of the short term segment. In total, finances add up to 1,496 billion euro, compared to 1,484 in August. Money collection also grows, touching 1,341 billion in September, with a 10.3% trend that compares to 9.75% in August and 6.36% of the previous year. In particular, deposits rise by 3.29% to 720.5 million, compared to +2,54% in August.
