Abbey National Mortgage Calculator

To see how much Abbey National will lend to you as a mortgage to buy a residential home click here and use their "how much you can borrow" calculator (it's on the left of their web site, coloured red) - however to find out how much that will cost you each month you will need to use the mortgage calculator below, or use their call queuing facility, for a call back to be quoted. As each lender applies the interest slightly differently, use the calculator below as a "close guide" only, the actual payment may differ slightly on a repayment (capital and interest) mortgage.

The Abbey will obviously only be able to tell you about their own lending limits and product range, whereas a mortgage broker will be able to access the whole of market, which includes both banks and building societies and all that they have to offer. As each individual lenders income multiples and products differ, so it is quite common for a potential mortgage borrower to be refused a mortgage by one lender, only to be accepted by a another. For this reason, to increase your chances of success and get more choice, you may want to consider using a mortgage broker to act on your behalf.
