Costa de la Luz weather is not as severe as the Mediterranean can be. For example, although the summers are hot, you do not get the intense Mediterranean heat. The winters are also very mild. Many people are surprised by the "greenness" of the Costa de la Luz. This is due to the moisture carried by the air from the sea and the abundance of rivers and lakes, something that many of us are not familiar with or used to in the south Spain.
