Making A Will
Why
should you make a Will?
There are many different reasons for writing a will, most of which
revolve around one central issue - making sure that you have already
provided for your family's needs if and when you die. If you write a
will, it means that you have some control over how your money and
possessions (your 'estate') will be distributed. You can make
provision for those people who are particularly special to you.

Inheritance
Tax Planning
Wills are also useful tools when it comes to avoiding Inheritance Tax
(IHT) or at very least reducing it. This has the effect of ensuring
that your money goes to whom you want it to go to and NOT the tax man.
Effective planning for Inheritance Tax, and its legitimate avoidance,
is now more vital than at any time in the past. Making a Will is very
possibly the most effective means of dealing with this potential
liability
Take time to make a Will
A legal last Will and testament allows you to appoint someone (an
'Executor') to sort out your estate when you die. More importantly it
also enables you to say who will look after your children (their
'guardian') if you and your partner should both die. You can even make
provisions for your own funeral arrangements in your Will.
Why now?
Most people don't have a Will. Some people think its too
complicated. Some people think its expensive (it isn't). Others
put it off until its too late. Remember, probate gets granted more
quickly if you have a will. If you don't want to make the same
mistake, don't delay any longer.
